yep! having time to throw off your own overtime, do the delivery, book 8 hours and still be home before your original finish time! good times

I also remember being home in time for soccer AM to start on a saturday morning!

You still can - if you do half a round for an agreed 4 hours, it does`nt matter what time you finish. You & manager have agreed a deal - half round=4 hours pay full stop. If you agree to do OT and to get paid to when you actually go home, then tough- reep what what you sow ect.

I remember getting 6 hours each overtime for Gas and Electric bills and we was allowed to do them over 3 days,oh and mailsort only came in on a Monday and was shoved straight on top of the frame and then would be fitted in the rest of the week..if you felt like it

.... along with the households that also would go on top...if you was a newbie as I was back then the lino would beg you to take out some old codgers households that had built up over the past MONTH.

You could make a fortune if you wanted especially round xmas time.
The good ole days really were good,none of this conduct code bollocks over not doing a redirection or failing to have a sense of humour or the need for a fact finding exercise when somebody cuts a loud fart.
