yet to start on ours yet but another section went live a few weeks back.where i live is near the start of a loop and i noticed today 1 guy coming back and having to wait 10 minutes for the other guy to come back,now bearing in mind the walk has maybe 12 loops how much time possibly are people waiting for their partner? well it was rm,s idea so let them deal with it,just seems stupid to me.are any other people experiencing this?

Been doing P&L since Monday last week, more often than not we both get back to the van within 5 minutes of each other. However, when one of us cops a shed load of packets and/or recordeds and specials and the other has none or very little the wait can be up to 15 minutes. If i know I'll be waiting more than 5 minutes i usually do a little "Packet run" in which i get rid of some of the "oversized" packets for the loop that couldn't fit in our pouches. Or I'll have a drink and something to eat. It would make life easier if both posties had a key to the van as they would both be self-reliant but, I get the impression Royal Mail don't want to hand out keys to people without licences and/or have not done the van assessment. I'm sure they could get around it by giving the non-driver a little keyless fob for the door locks...do they even exist? ...If not I'm off to the patent office!

Park and Loop can work, they just need to be realistic about the size of the walks and the amount (and size) of packets we take out.

They should start putting a tow bar on the back so we can tow a portaloo round, so if its pissing of rain and the driver is still out, you can have a s**t and a sarnie at the same time.

Something will have to give sooner or later - the OT payments and cut-offs will kill them, just wondering how long it takes 'em to realise it
