Pt to FT for Xmas

This has been brought up before i know, but can anyone clarify it and how do you get it done?
i.e. a part timer gets made a full time for the xmas period as they will be doing the hours anyway, plus they should get the full bonus.
if this is no longer done how do you make sure you get the 100% bonus to which your entitled(then again in RM you get what your given).
I tried to sort this out for the last 2yrs, 1st yr manager said sorry and paid me and a couple of others extra ot to cover loss of bonus
last year sorry was all we got!!

You have a nice manager if he paid you extra, you will find mostly you don't get made full time and you probably won't receive the full bonus. What you will probably find is on a day to day basis they ask you to come in early or work later as overtime but that will probably be the best you get. It's gonna be worse this year than ever before, i hear there is a distinct lack of SA this year. They are under no obligtation to give you anymore hours at XMAS it's down to you and your manager to sort out if theres any extra hours he wants to offer you.

If they want to make me tempF/T I'll be happy to do the hours/days off.....

Until then I just laugh at the feckers when they come round asking if I want to work me days off/come in early etc.

The simple answer is... your contracted hours will not be increased. Your overtime will, maybe, but not your basic wage. You will still get pro rata bonuses, and your SA rate won't start until you've done 40 hours etc.
