D2D Overs and Manager Suspensions...

I had a number of D2D overs from last week which is the first time that its happened since they were incorporated into our normal workload.

Manager says that I have to take them out and carry on delivering them till there all gone. He's saying/claiming that there's an error rate of 1% so you should have less than 10 overs. I had a lot more than that!!! Am concerned that it looks like I'm rolling over undelivered D2D from the pervious week and also most customers hate it and would most likely complain if they got to separate deliveries of the same D2D.

Managers also claiming that D2D are no longer accepted for returns and that 5 or 6 managers over the UK(?) have recently been suspended for D2D issues.

Anyone know what going on here?

well that can't be right cos one of ours still puts a yorkie out for his section to put their ' excess' d2d in ( I kid you not)

he has to change it halfway through the week as well cos it is so full

and despite us asking why they get away with it this happens every week

and he is still there

part of me hopes it is true cos we are all sick of it!

He,s talking bollox m8 ,i regularly have excess d2d as do the rest in my do,the problem is the managers dont no what to do with the excess,As long as youve delivered the correct amount youve done your job it would be very hard for them to prove different.
Although we have heard the rumours that managers all over the country are being suspended and ultimately sacked,i no of at least 2 in our area on suspension at the moment awaiting appeal.

mine is still hit and miss to be fair sometimes I have the correct amount of one but am way short on another ( or others)

I got a box of 400 for an 82 drop walk. Guess the dispatcher couldn't be arsed to open the box?

There is no returns of D2Ds now, they are to be disposed of in the office.

My duty is very hit and miss with the numbers of D2Ds, sometimes I have spare but most times I'm short (and I don't get enough DDs either ) I think it depends of what scales the D2D despatch use.

Whats happening to your Aplus whilst the revision is going on. If roads have been moved on to new walks this will effect the amounts when the D2D's come in as they are taken from the Aplus

If you are in a large office and i'm not tarring everyone with this brush but every office has it's arseholes ...it is possible that some may be dumping on your patch so try to keep an eye on your D2D.
Loose bundles on top of your frame tend to grow.....

Mine wasn't done for a couple of days i'm sure of it as i had exactly 1/2 of them left in a box,put the box in the managers office with my label on which we are supposed to do,haven't heard feck all about it and that was 2 weeks ago.

There's a +/-20 variable on my current walk. Even extrapolating that to every walk in the office, there's no reason for the 1000s that are returned every week. I might offer some conjecture as to what I think is happening with some of the d2ds, but I'd do better to refrain, I think.

Some people just don't do them.
They didn't do them when they were paid per item, and they don't do them now with the Delivery Supplement.
You eventually reap what you sow.

I usually have various over I just don't sign the sheet, like last two weeks the D2d came in late so mondays quota was not done

I was around 30 short a few weeks ago. Found this out on Friday so notified the manager but got a "as long as theres none left then thats all I care about!" so left it at that. I've heard rumours that RM are paying households to see what D2D they get i.e. did the postie deliver what he should have.... get feeling that RM want to make some examples for the rest of us!
