There is a moderate risk of severe weather on Thursday.

There is potential for snow showers to become frequent in places giving localised accumulations of 2-5 cm of snow inland with 10 cm or more on high ground in northeast England and Scotland.

There is a lower risk of snow extending further west into the Midlands and east Wales.

Icy stretches may develop on untreated surfaces.

There is potential for snow showers to become frequent in places giving further localised accumulations of 2-5 cm of snow inland with 10 cm on high ground. In addition, a strengthening northerly wind may lead to blizzard conditions and drifting, particularly on high ground.

Icy stretches may develop on untreated surfaces.

There is potential for snow showers over much of the north and east of the UK, with accumulations of 1-5 cm of snow in places, and with as much as 10 cm on hills in northern Britain.

There is a lower risk of snow extending further west over the UK.

If their is severe weather Guaranteed CWU ,RM ,AND HSE will do nothing about it than say go carefull out their.

The Conditions we were sent out in early this year was unsafe to say the least but other than individal stands no one did anything about it .Many DOMS were snowed in at home but issued instructions for the foot soldiers to go out delivering ,as usual
CWU did nothing AT ALL ,DISGUSTING!!

Totally agree and the year before was the same. Hope they do something this year. I for one am going to refuse to any addresses that have steps/slopes, can't take the risk anymore.

Well I can only say how glad I am that it is the Eastern side of the country and not the west if there is deep snow we'll see how well the trolleys stand up to the conditions............................... then we'll know what to do when it comes to Gods country

Hope they have the equivilant to the A.A for digging our trollies out! Seriously, when the snow gets too deep, they will be impossible to use, but I do not think they have contingincy plans for this.I can see many a bad back over the winter months.
