still a floater after 12 yrs ,and get kicked off my job all the time for the duty holder to come in on his day off to do overtime ,they get it easy while i get stuck on a job ive no a clue about! Why is it that part timers ,just in the door get there own walk,work there day off on there own jobs , oooo and the xmas tips their pocket ,,jelous i know but gets you down.

If your the floater then it is your duty when they are on day off, so tell your lino you wish to stay on your duty and find them something to do on day off. END OF.

they call it operational needs! they wont get them in on overtime cause they wont do any other job apart from there own! might have too see someone higher up than the bosses in our office ,as the grievance i put in about this last year obviuosly hasnt worked.

It shouldn't really matter what round your on, just work your time and send the mail back when you've finished. Its their problem if they wish to mess you about. Just make sure you do your hours for the day.
I do believe that floaters should stay on the walk.

Aye got the same problem here,cover five jobs and for the last six months only done two of them week in week out.
AR dosnt want to push it and operational needs gets trotted out,i put some of the blame on the members in my office,they

Don't get me wrong about this but isn't everyone doing the same job when your on a walking duty.

Depending on your contract, you do the following ips, prep, and deliver. Now if the duty is to big or it recieves alot of mail then just work your hours and say your cutting off, its that simple.

in our office its always been the case the floater that holds a duty,can refuse to get moved off it
i totally agree on this.however many times the floater will move if its a 'better' duty
i did that very thing just the other day getting 'moved' from my worst floating duty to my best
