What are the main reasons for this revision?

If supposedly all offices (i know some already have) are going to have a revision in the near future what is the main idea behind them? Is it to coincide with the walk sequenced mail? , because mail volumes are dropping?, because there is less indoor work?, get rid of bike duties?, to make savings within office?, to start us later?, or a mixture of all these or maybe a different reason altogether.

To modernise.....................although there is so little mail we are drowning in it...............our revision began last week................the doggie paddle has gone on to the back stroke

Mail volume dropping NO maybe the D2D are not included in their figures (They are not) but, as well as their normal mail, every customer receive an extra 4 to 5 items of mail per week. Even if the odd letter is not sent anymore, people get more and more mags, ads etc through their doors but it is of course less revenue (probably not, because the companies will do large mailing anyway).

The aim for RM really is to get us out to be replaced by casual and part time staff to work a few hours a day as and when required, no sick pay, no pensions like ours.

Make savings. Well, yes as we are now in a business driven by bonuses. These people need bonuses every year but they have to make more savings every year hence making us work faster and faster every year but they just forgotten we have already reach Mt Everest, so now things are going tip top but they will get their bonuses and the customers will get a crap service (who cares???)

For stopping using bikes to get all those vans, who knows. Maybe they all have shares in PSA.

A fair proportion of our part timers have also been made full time, everyone was given the option and most took it BUT and it's a big BUT they are only temporary contracts until next year when the revision for WMS comes in and those increased hours will be subject to being revoked to maintain the work plan.So it's a cloud with a tarnished silver lining

I don't see how its business having unhappy workers, and having to pay out extreme compensation. If RM was on the stock exchanges the shares would be worthless. The business practice is on paper but doesn't work in the real world.
