If I go to Scotland on my week off and want to come back on Monday as there is a big party on Sunday night. Can I request to work in Edinburgh delivery office for one day then go home.

Just wondering.

You should re-phrase the question....
If you come up to Scotland on your week off and due to no fault of your own,end up stuck in Edinburgh on monday morning should you report to your nearest delivery office?

If that is the case the answer is yes.

I'm fairly sure there is more than one delivery office in Edinburgh! Do you have a particular one in mind?

Nothing in mind but I will be doing Scottish Salsa Congress in January.

As far as I know, in 22 years in the job it has always been RM policy for you to do your days work in such situations where ever you are at the time. This was particularly true of TPO workers who would often find themselves 'out of course' like the mail, in the wrong place. In such situations it was normal for them to report to the nearest mail center where they would be found 'a days work'.
It mus be stressed how ever that it must have been through 'unforeseen circumstances', usually due to travel problems or OMV breakdowns etc. & not because of 'a party' etc.

Now there's a novel idea...................why don't we all jump on a train on Sunday night, get off where you like and turn up at the MC/DO/HQ on Monday morning and expect a days work
