never ceases to amaze me how impolite most of the general public are, so they dont like you getting them out of bed on a Saturday morning, well why order the flaming stuff in the first place then?
I work the additional callers office hours alone in my office as no-one else wants to stay on, and quite often I have long queues, moaning whinging people just aren`t polite enough just to say thank you..christ it doesn`t hurt!!!..last week I asked a lady to get off her phone before I served her because if I was giving her my full attention I expected to get the same from her, she asked for my name so she could make a complaint..big deal.

why would you do that?, I was polite with my request, in fact the other customers in the queue agreed with my stance, we have a sign up asking people not to talk on their phones while in the office, its very impolite to ignore official notices
Maybe you should have just picked up your phone and dialed a number and had a nice chat with a chum all the time you dealt with her request, I'm sure she would've understood
i would,& frequently do,ignore ppl with twatting mobiles glued to their ears in the callers,"next please" followed by "i'm sorry ,i thought you were in the middle of something important,did'nt want to disturb....."

I dont agree with you here Ive served loads of people who are chatting on the phone and its true your quite lucky to get even a nod. However your a postie mate not a teacher so to be honest i cant see that it really matters all that much certainly not enought to ask her to get off the phone. .

You must be the women I get stuck behind in the queue at Sainsbury. Bloody mobile clued to ear rather than concentrate and pay her bill. Just love people like you !

I don't think i'am, for a start i'm not a woman and i'm very rarely on mobile.
But for example if i were waiting in a cue and someone called me i would answer my phone, and i wouldn't take to kindly to someone in a customer service roll instruchting me to hang up.
I would however tell whoever i was speaking to, to hold on for a second if i got to the front of the cue, to give the person who was serving me my attention.
Possably the customer concerned here didn't do that, difficult to tell.
If thats the case and they were talking and ignoring you then windermeredave then i appoligies.
Anyone whose face is perpetually glued to their god - aka their mobile - is a tw@t. I can't stand it even when I'm stood behind one of these people waiting. I don't know what they actually were before mobile phones were invented. Did these people actually exist before mobiles were the rage, or did they simply never come out of their cupboard?

And trying to fill up the carrier bags looking like Quasimodo with the phone cradled between ear and shoulder.
I have walked past people in queues who are on the mobile and not paying attention when the line moves forward. Are they in the queue or not, How the f*ck should I know, because I can't ask them..................as they are on the phone!!!!
