what method do you use in van sharing

we are due to start our on the 22nd of this month (2 weeks before the xmas period..lunacy) I would like some feedback from guys that have already started, so I assume you and your colleague have a set plan that you adopt every day, do you do your oversize pkts and specials as you go, or is it specials before your delys and overweights if you have time afterwards?..Im trying to work out a plan to try and make it easier as we go.

Not sure what to expect but heres a few protocols that i would recommend.

Start at your time.
Do indoor work.
Take full meal break.
Do mail and specials first.
If you have enough time do parcels.
If not bring parcels back or cut off.
Finish at your time.

I'm sharing my van with this bird in the office. problem is I go out on Sunday for a few ales and a kebab. its always windy on Monday morning with me. She will regret this.

Bizarrely most in our office like the new delivery methods, it's just the size of the walks which cause the problems.

We've been doing the most delivery by the walker delivering the first two loops (i.e. driver and walker) and the driver taken vastly oversize packets and specials and tracked for the part we are not delivering (due to cutting off).
Then the trolly has one bag of mail and usually the other bag is just one or two large packets. Anything not delivered is no longer a pain in the neck because you don't have to put it back on top of your mail. It's best if you can put your van in a central location and have two keys so that the walker and driver can do their loops independently and use the van as a large bag box.
Obviously when one finishes their loop early and the van needs moving then they help the other person out. The loops do not always finish in the same order, it can only take a few of P739s and you would end up waiting 10 mins.

its absolute chaos at our office,we have more customers than before to deliver to then theres all the large packets which have to be delivered seperately plus specials which means whoevers driving the van has to stop delivering the letters so we are taking back 2 pouches of mail each day as we are not prepared to do o/t to cover for managements cock ups and to add to this i don"t get home till 3pm on saturday now.
