Half our office due to start the revision on the Monday 15th. Well 11 duties out of 45, new vans, pda's,the pda's cabinet up and running, trolleys, new frames in.
Get back from our round's today, and, it's been cancelled. . because, we were only going to save 22 hours & it wasn't worth staring.

I'd take a closer look at the reason for delay Kim - the revisions are about delivery methods at this stage and not about savings - the planners outlining the changes would be well aware of what savings level there would be, if any. I think there may be another reason for the delay despite what the scuttlebut is.

But the BT2010 said revisions would not be based on savings, in fact we have on here somewhere a letter from Dale Haddon to the CWU saying exactly that.

We were meant to start the new duties on 1st Nov, then it was postponed until mid Nov. Now we've been told it won't start until 10th Jan!

To be honest the Office looked at the duties and said they wouldn't work, so we'd like to think we've been listened to for once. However it's not because they were too long (although they are) but the sequencing was all over the place

Duties were jumping from one end of the duty, driving past bits that had to be re-visited later, ignoring letterboxes that had to be emptied and then coming back later etc.

We've already got the cdv's HCT's and letter sorting machines.

...because the revisions are efficiency based and you won't be efficient until you lose 34 staff.
The fact that it saves money is honestly ...a coincidence.

Our rumor (from official sources but not through official sources) has it that all revisions not currently in the process of being brought in will be suspended following significant teething problems in the offices which have had the revision so far.

You may even find your revision is off for Monday!

Had to happen, To bring in such a big revision at this time of year was always going to cause major problems as what has happened in Dundee

Well, had a meeting this morning, they still say it's been stopped because 22 hours aren't enough. When someone pointed out that we've been told from the beginning, it's not about saving money, we were told it is. And that was the end of meeting. Any ideas anyone?

One sector (the one i'm on!) in my office goes "live" on Monday (15th). All the frames were moved and stripped after we all left today to have the new walks put onto them. I just hope whoever has done mine has done it right! Not looking forward to it, today was my last day of independent freedom

just wondering what the opinion is on Postmen/women from other d.o`s filling thier boots with docket in the offices that are going tits up? because i have heard that managers have been asking in some offices, for people to go to these offices and do either sorting or packet delivery, personally i think doing overtime in the offices that are struggling with these half arsed revisions is about as bad as scabbing
