Hi Folks great forum. I'm a retired postie from the Glasgow area, hope you can help with these questions I was 18 years as a postie and was medically retired two years ago.I get my post office pension, am I still entitled to the courier, and if you are a pensioner should you get the Christmas card and stamps?

Phone the Pensions Helpline and request the Courier, They should have sent you a form when you retired asking if you wanted it. As for the cards and stamps..You should get a card but not the stamps..

No dont think you do. My girlfriends dad is retired postie and he doesnt get any :hmmmm

Yes ask for it..then you can send in your holiday snaps in Bognor whilst holding The Courier.
Seriously you must be bored if you want to read that management piece of crud,have you tried reading the back of a cereal packet? It's far more entertaining and sometimes they have dot to dots and mazes on them,minutes of fun! :nana

If you were retired for a few years then it would be a good thing to read, as it paints a much rosier picture than the reality of the job. Kind of like Postman Pat in comic book form :left:

Yes all retired posties have the option to keep receiving the courier, just give them a ring or email them.. :cuppa

No stamps @ xmas though.. :cry
