Unemployed Moron's Storm Prevention Sellotape Club
The first rule of Unemployed Moron's Storm Prevention Sellotape Club is that you will not talk about Unemployed Moron's Storm Prevention Sellotape Club. Instead, you should tape up your letterbox good and tight using a well known brand of adhesive tape, so that rain, hail and job offers are unable to penetrate your front door during high winds.
The second rule of Unemployed Moron's Storm Prevention Sellotape Club is, you DO NOT talk about Unemployed Moron's Storm Prevention Sellotape Club. Excepting a few friends and fellow scroungers on the same estate, who can then spend an equally ludicrous amount of time embalming their front doors to a mummy-like state.

This club is a lot bigger than you could imagine Wiganpostie, they now have members all over the country.
What about the ones that use waterproof carpet tape! The black shiny stuff that leaves glue residue over your hands if you try to peel it off.

Re: Unemployed Moron's Storm Prevention Sellotape Club
Where I deliver(ed) they used to tape up their letterboxes when it was windy (fair enough, it sort of was on the side of a mountain) but I get fed up of peeling the damn things back all the fuppin time.
I did consider endorsing the mail as no access but figured if a complaint was made, I'd probably get a telling off because it's "only a bit of tape". However, I don't think it's taken into account by Georoute is it?!

Don't you love it when you peel the tape of, deliver the mail, and then they open the door and complain because you've not stuck the tape down again!

I must have had to deal with about 30 or so doors today that were taped up, and oddly enough, many of them were line of sight to one another. One was trussed up so tightly I had made a fist sized ball of tape by the time I got it all off..only to discover that the inside was taped too.

Re: Unemployed Moron's Storm Prevention Sellotape Club
My letterbox is taped up
but I've used duct tape, no cheap sellotape in this house
. Letterbox got broken when my stupid son left his key in the back of the door so we could'nt get in, it was either a window or the letterbox and the letterbox got it

...had a few letterboxes sealed up last weekend - apparently to deter the local scamps from pushing fireworks through!

There is a sub-culture even lazier than the Unemployed Moron's Storm Prevention Sellotape Club.wiganpostie wrote:I must have had to deal with about 30 or so doors today that were taped up, and oddly enough, many of them were line of sight to one another. It's the Unemployed Moron's Storm Prevention Dish Towel jammed in the Letter Box Club.
Do you push it through?...Do you pull it out?
Do you even want to touch the manky fecker...?

You push it thru using their mail as a barrier between that and your fingers.DGP1 wrote:Push through, using a magazine usuallyfishtank wrote:There is a sub-culture even lazier than the Unemployed Moron's Storm Prevention Sellotape Club.wiganpostie wrote:I must have had to deal with about 30 or so doors today that were taped up, and oddly enough, many of them were line of sight to one another.
