We've been told by our DIM that they won't be making up PTers to Temp FT for the Xmas period this year! So it'll definately be a Pro-rata £50 bonus if we get one

He said it was ,"A Business Decision" (his favourite mantra a present) have any other DOs been told this? or is it just more BS?

To add insult to injury he then said, "I've put up an availability sheet so you can let me know if you'll be working your days off, or if you want OT over the Xmas period"

cos if your office is like mine there will be plenty of takers who will work all day (and night)long
this week we have people who are supposed to be on a/l coming in to do work for the tossers in charge
and yes we have been on cdr foe three weeks and yes the packets and parcels are mounting up,and yes I WORK TO MY TIME .but thanks to these people it will work

I didn't know any offices EVER made people up to temp part-time over the Christmas period, nice touch!

In our offices they just try to get everyone to come in on OT over Christmas, but never made any P/T temp F/T to benefit from whole bonus...

Our office has made up p/t to f/t at christmas and have done the same through the early stages of the revision which will carry on through christmas and in to the new year and probably on to the introduction of the wsms in Feb/Mar

I've never known anyone be made up to a F/T contract over xmas.

And I was told, as a naive new starter on first Xmas duty, that overtime was at SA rate. Yes, it's at SA rate if you're on a F/T contract. When you're P/T, it's only SA once you've done 40 hours.
