If you can't complete within your alloted span and you dont wish to do overtime you can either cut off or refuse to lapse. Seeing as its Christmas and inkeeping with the spirit of the season you could give them the choice.

Yes if you are instructed to do so AND

You have the capacity within your working hours.

If you don't and they still want you to lapse then "with witnesses" ask them what they want you to do as you will not be able to complete.

We have an agreement in our office with DOM, lapse all week as normal, but if staff go to DOM and say they don't have time then there is no questioning, they don't take it out. This only falls apart when we have a cover manager and they don't know the score.

firstly i thought phase 3 lapsing was savings
secoundly we must not have ups and downs in mail volumes then
thirdly i will never agree to any kind of lapsing again

Totally agree all RM really need to save themselves a fortune on these creative expensive time share sellers is a well policed return to office policy and
an agreed testing officer simples. Then again if they dealt with reality they would find it difficult to justify there fantasy savings targets.

I have managed to absorb 1 day in the past 2 weeks, I am loving seeing managers having to do it. All it takes is a nice meal releif and I don't have the time.
