BUSY DAY (TUES) FOR D.O'S in my area...

I pity the delivery staff in my region tomorrow(tue).There was over half a million DSA items thru our MC at the weekend,and because there arent enough trained machine operators in the MC over the weekend,150,000+ mech that should have gone to local D.O's this morning didn't!Enjoy the rest of the day,because tomorrow is gonna be a pig!Management haven't got a bloody clue....

Sounds pretty much like GMC, one night last week they failed around 100,000 dsa items (main problem is down to lack of staff......but management wont admit that they have let too many experienced people go on EVR and the like)we were told that with the earlier network arrivals everything would be cushty(ha feckin ha)we are running later than ever so much so that the early shift have to help push mail out the door and often help clear down the machines as well! It's a total f##k up ; there is no way any private company would/could be run in such a way.god help us if private companies show any interest in buying RM because they will see it only as a business and not a service, just a another way to make money THIS MANAGEMENT have taken us to the abyss

Today was a nightmare over here, I got 4 trays of sequenced mail (2 trays that run onto each other the 2 single sequenced trays ) so if more is to come in tomorrow then it's going to be great (more streaming for me ).

I had four trays of UN sequenced. Never, ever had four full trays before. Masses of flats, packets were normal for a monday though. An hours overtime for me.

A lot of wal;ks in our office didn't get any mech today, but mine seemed pretty much like a normal Monday, so hopefully mine will be normalish Tuesday, when we got back mech mail was waiting on yorks for a lot of the walks..but not mine.
