Does anyone here working at mount pleasant (london) know if christmas casuals have started working there already?

I applied for a xmas casual job and i'm still waiting for a response

Try your local Shopping Centre kid... They may be looking for some Elves for Christmas, better job satisfaction, working indoors, plus you might get to sit on Santa's knee!

Why would RM employ anybody for Christmas before the pressure period starts, that's 3 weeks before Christmas (but strangely only 2 for delivery), you really need to wait for a couple of weeks.


And TBH you're better looking for a job where you aren't treated like a child/idiot by managers who are themselves children/idiots.

If you havent had a reply by now, you probably won't be taken on.
Interviews for Xmas casuals at Mount Pleasant started a couple of weeks ago.
Those who are taken on should start around the 6th December.
Try looking at the websites of big stores and supermarkets like M&S, Sainsburys, Tesco, Debenhams, etc
as they all take on extra staff over December. You will probably be treated better than in Royal Mail, and
stand a better chance of being kept on after Xmas, if you are looking for a permanent job.

I worked in supermarket and they are much better in treating employee than Royal Mail.

ie when I work there I work 20 hours a week and work five days. I have asked my deputy manager to change it 4 X 5 hours shift to reduce travelling no problem.
