You should be able to get this done through your doctor and NHS, Ive been a couple of times in the last 8 years and got the orthotics made. The first ones were brilliant and did help but the second ones made my feet ache even more. Its an ongoing problem and believe me it wont get any better no matter what they tell you . The constant walking on solid pavements totally knackers your feet, leading to knee, hip and back pain. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

I had some things made for my feet when I were a youngster and it was on the NHS...
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?

I expect you could only claim the usual 25 quid, that they allow for people who have to buy their own footwear.
