ultimate idiot mistake

I went into work all happy and bouncy and the lino said what you doing here, I should have been on a days holiday ,

back home I went, I forgot to turn my calendar over at work that said i had a days holiday,

The thing is we were only talking about doing this on saturday, in work.

The only excuse I have if it is one was I was suppose to have the day off and bookes it a year ago when my ex had his days off
and I forgot to cancel them

Now i treasure every day off,i worship at it's feet...i might even offer up sacrifices to it.
I've usually checked my calendar at least 100 times before the big day arrives.

Spot on. I'm always mentally ticking off the days left until my next day off. Only two to go until I have five days off.

A couple of weeks ago they changed my day off without telling me (I'm a spare and the sheets detailing my day off are put up the week before). I turned up on the Monday to be told it was my day off but as I'd already sent the kids to the childminder I decided to just work it.
The bad bit is that because we get less hours for working our day off (flexibility) and when you deduct the childcare costs I actually payed £1.20 to go to work!

Last year when my leave was allocated by the DOM I turned up for work on my week off ... that happens when you don't pick your own leave.

When i returned to work today, someone else had done the same as me yesterday morning but it was there holiday week off I did not feel so bad after all, must be the water in our office lol, or the rush to see our new revision duties
