I know we get paid a week in advance but if you leave do you get a weeks pay the following week. know overtime is paid a week in advance but is your basic wage.? cannot remember if I had to work two weeks before I got paid when first started but was a long time ago. lol

i got paid the first week i started so if i left i would only get any over time the week after,

Your normal wages are paid that week but all OT is paid in arrears. So if you leave then you wouldn't get wages after the Friday but you would get your OT (and I assume any other monies owing to you then).

following on from that question, are our wages based on Thursday to the following Wednesday.
so to give one weeks notice is it best to hand it in on a Thursday, or do you have to work a full week Monday to sat ?



anyone left the job recently...what did you do ?

No, the pay you get on Friday is for Monday to Saturday that week.

Loads of idiots at my office are at the cash machine at midnight Thursday desperate for their wages. They have not got two pennies to rub together all week then. I cant understand this. One guy come in a hour early then books half hour pressue and gloates about it.....he is still losing money...
