What happens when two postmen stated on the same day, went for the interview the same day
got the offer of job the same day , who has seniority ??????

Was on age with oldest been more senior, but sure that has been scrapped.
Not sure if sick record has some say now, could be wrong.

13.9 Where several employees start on the same day, the following factors will determine the relative order: firstly, any periods of Post Office service on other grades, secondly, date of selection and, thirdly, date of birth

Thought that had been stopped because of age discrimination.
But maybe it was just duff information or another local thing.

Well gb i would have thought the D.O.B. part may have been shaky but i have never seen anything in writing rescinding it...and you know the saying...if it isn't in writing...it isn't. :neutral:

Had to deal with this a few weeks ago as big arguement devloped. The way forward still applies as does the guidelines or directives which came out under the way forward.

If both people started on the same day then the date you applied for the job counts. However and its a big however not many can prove that they applied before so then the default postion is than age. The age discrimantion act has not change this in any way.
