Walk testing after revisions

I know the revisions are to be pushed through, regardless but I haven't seen any mention of walk testing. Is it the duty holders right to have the walk tested after the revision? If all walks are tested, (they were all over beforehand, when done properly) surely something will have to give.
I have never seen a walk being tested but have heard of them being around 5 hours plus for a supposed 3 and a half hour walk. What is the protocol regarding walks that are ridiculously long, are they revised after being tested or is the testing just a pointless exercise?

If they refused to test them last year when pegasus was unagreed theres no way in hell they will test them now! especially after a revision!
If it takes you longer, the responce will be performance issue.

You've not been paying attention, they won't, but if we let managers get away with whatever they want then thats OUR fault.

i'm expecting daily arguments on this, now obviously your right, but they will not test walks.
If it becomes a big problem for you then the only thing that you could do really is keep a diary, and ask for your walk to be tested in writing, and ultimately put a harrasment case in against your manager.

were due to start in nov cdvs , some of our walks are just not possible to do in the time they say , it works out you have about 1hr 20mins to prep all mail and d2ds , pkts ,specials,tracked and load the van (utter sh*t) and no mention of breaks before leaving the office and toilet facilities and the union rep has helped and agreed to this rubbish , the way i look at it is i am there for 8hrs and home so what happens after that has f**k all to do with me. clowns the lot of them.

I wouldn't go blaming your rep too much, they are in a straight jacket.

Get walks tested before they're signed off - if they're not feasible, make sure they're not signed off.
DON'T let em use 'runners' to test walks. If, like in our D.O., there are no huge issues with current walks, then there's no excuse for the DOM to ask anyone other than the current duty holder(s) to test the walks, as they know the lie of the land better than anyone else in the office.
If they point blank refuse to walk test on a reasonable basis - make sure rep refuses to sign off!

I know in the NE one office have had their walks tested and the whole office came out over.
