if you had used special delivery, would not have happened.

but as per normal royal mail get it in the neck because we are an easy target!

next time spend the £5! if it that important!

You are way off the mark NEmallard.
The service chosen by his other half was the correct one.
It was not a high value item and was sent in plenty of time to get there...are you suggesting that every important document should be sent Special Delivery?
Royal Mail screwed up....it should have reached it's destination by the 2nd or 3rd and it didn't until the 8th.
That is a pathetic level of service and Royal Mail deserves to "get it in the neck" for it.

NEmallard, stop talking out of your arse! RM quite happily quotes on its website that 1st class is a 1-2 day service and thus it should provide such a service. The 3+ days for 2nd class is a joke - I posted a parcel nearly two weeks ago (2nd class) and it hasn't arrived yet.. If the only service that can be trusted is SD then it really is a f***ing disgrace and a con.. (obviously I know this not to be true, I've posted loads of stuff and it has arrived quickly, Standard Parcel that arrived in two days! just shows the levels of variation across the network)

My missus posted a packet first class to my son on Friday at 4:30pm, he had it at the door Sat morning at 10am.

Well done RM, great service, less than 24hrs from PO to house

For every duff delivery there are thousands that go right.

It's like when my customers give me a bollocking for putting the odd wrong delivery through their door, I just say "Fair enough, but in future give me a pat on the back every time I get it right"

Why focus on the bad, we are not the only delivery firm that gets it wrong, but because we deliver the most we get the rough end when it does, I've even had people in the callers office moaning about a "sorry you were out card" she soon shut up after her rant at me, when I told her it was Parcel Force and she had to go next door to the PO.
