stage 3 grievance procedure

What a surprise that my first 2 stages failed, being as the 2 managers who dealt with them have worked with and know well the manager i have the grievance against,

They basically ignore everything i say in the interviews and come down on the managers side, surprise surprise.

Lets see who they give me to deal with the stage 3, whats the betting it is someone else the manager knows well.

i'm not letting this go, i'm taking this all the way to industrial tribunal once i get done with the Royal Mail's internal side of it.

If your not happy with the manager at the stage 3 ask for another one. If they insist on that manager write them a note before hand and put/ask for it to be put on your record. Keep copies and send one to HR.

i asked for a independent manager for my stage 3 greivance, got given a glasgow manager, when i complained that he could not be independent, was told he was..... ten months on, i still have'nt had a decision, its a farce!!!

The artic thing is a Edinburgh wheeze.
The Glasgow manager has probably found that his QofS was so high (

) that he had to award himself a huge bonus and go on holiday.
Or he is in the Gartnavel Royal.

OMG - they do not all have the same stupid accent.
For instance a posh Morningside accent is nothing like the people I work with here in Cambuslang.
You couldn't confuse someone from the Borders with a tcheuchter.

If I speak at work they all stop cos they assume I'm reading the news from the BBC.

I was in exactly the same boat as you were. I fired off an ET form while my stage2 was still pending cos i could see the farcical way i was being dealt with and didn't want to risk missing the cut off for it. After numerous postponements by RM's solicitors they eventually backed down a week before we were due to go before the Judge. If your'e convinced that you're in the right then it doesn't matter what the outcome of the internal grievance procedure is as outside the RM bubble things are held up to higher scrutiny. I dealt with mine on my own , and even though its hard work , there is no greater feeling when you eventually win! Stick to your guns!!!

ii heard of a tale where someone was under the dda and was issued warnings up to stage three. The way he was treated was wrong and loads of errors along the way. Stage two no joy guess what same at stage three. So in the end he put a case to tribunal and the judge told him to put a grievance in which in the end they overturned his warnings and they now know he comes under the dda even though their own health people said he did.

I'm also dealing with it all myself, i'm not in the union, so it's all down to me, but i refuse to let this go.

i've also read that after you have your meeting at stages 1 and 2 you should get a decision within 5 days of each meeting,
So far they have dragged this out for 4 months, Now i'm sure that won't look to good to a tribunal that Royal mail are not sticking to the guidelines listed in their grievance charter.

I really just want it to be finished soon though so i can just get on or get out.
