Why are the managers in our office giving out overtime, and allowing blokes who come back early to go home. ?
Is it coincidence that our Walk revisons are continually being delayed by our Union reps, and said Reps are getting overtime?
Why do people come in an hour early for their shift?
Plus our managers are saying that we will not get a walk revision because even with the increase in D2D's people are still coming back early?

Why don't our reps tell us exactly whats going on, when you ask all you get is a load of bullshit.?
There's loads more I could ask, but I don't want to bore you anymore than is necessary

Doms are crafty, they're turning a blind eye for their own purpose, like taking walks out later cos if the posties are getting back early they must have plenty of time to be able to do more work.

This pisses me off as well. In my office we have a front entrance and a rear enterance and the staff that come in early are the tricky ones. They do their absorption, and they finish at 2.30pm that’s 2.10pm without a break they come back at 1.30pm and go straight home.
How do they do it.
Well the back door is adjacent to the cage in my office this is where they pop their hand around the corner and hand there returns back. or they go to the callers window. They also only bring out what they know they can get rid of.
The other trick is giving their colleagues on a neighbouring walk their returns also the van drivers take them back. Nobody pouches out at this office.
I quite agree if they come back with 15/20 minutes spare on their duty’s send the B*****ds out again with more absorption. That will stop them. or get everyone to come back from their duty’s in the front enterence where the gaffers can see them. Its these shithouses that brought a lot of this on and they still get away with murder.
That’s another thing we start at 5. 30am these early birds come in at 4.45am throw the walk off then walk around scratching themselves when the 5 30 staff come in. at this point the managers should tell them get on the sorting they are officially in RM time.

1)Managers should tell van driver not to bring back anything from the staff.
2)Managers should tell staff report back to a manager before going home.
3)Managers should tell staff if your walk is thrown off at 5 30am you must get on the sorting.

1030 to 1130 to finish either their deliveries are to easy or else hitting streets about 7am. we do 4 to 5 hour deliveries most days and get out between 830 and 915 depends how busy it is. (thats without meal brerak) how the other half live they need to come to my delivery office they would be burnt out

Its the same at mine.

I think some will be in for a shock when we move to a proper 4hr delivery because quite a few are rushing around and getting back at 11.15am with absorbtion.

As for me iam knocking 4.30 to 5 hrs on a heavy day and never back before 1-1.50pm so a 4hr delivery close to the office will be fine

If you're used to doing a hard days work, which I believe the majority of Posties are, I don't believe you've got a lot to fear.
But imagine the shock if you're one of these idle bastards that have been getting away with murder for years.

If they're finishing an hour or two every day that's taking the piss How can they then complain if more work gets put on that duty

The DIms should be gripping this situation! Trouble is most of them have cleared of home by 1300. I agree they should be monitoring the workforce, if they're back through the door two hours early they should be sent back out again. As for this pouching off on the street I've no experience of that but it sounds rife for abuse.

Have you lot heard yourselves! Yer worse than managers. All jealous and bitter. Look, this job isnt that hard, but how you work is up to the individual. Ive given up worrying what others do. If some get in early, use cars , throw up their walks,dump D2Ds, do not do redis and kill offs,vault fences and trample gardens to get done early or scam overtime - its none of your business. You are not paid to worry about others. Look after number 1, do your job correctly and you wont be the one waiting for the DOM (eventually) to take you in the office to examine your activities.
