It worries me that duties with partial tenements deliveries will be largely ignored.

I think the question of implementation will be down to us.

The pouch weight matrix already stipulates a 5kg weight but this is ignored by both management (who bury their heads in the sand at the mere mention of it) and by posties who seem to have some sort of masochistic addiction to carrying 16kg bags up 4/5 flights of stairs.

If the consequence of a 3hr 30 delivery span means a cull of f/t staff and a reduction in "innovative" attendance patterns, then are Area going to provide support for offices that do want to implement these recommendations? (Recent history doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence)

Full meal relief to be enforced before delivery - that won't be popular with the must run round and finish 20 minutes early brigade. (f**k them)

Will senior managers sanction the massive reinvestment in these offices?

And the figure of +31 tenements being the trigger for a fixed delivery span has been mentioned but I have yet to see it in writing.

My own guess is that no-one will want to implement these changes before more work has been done.
My guess is the same s**t will carry on for another 20 years.
And while posties will moan about how physically demanding this job is, they will completely ignore the one study that could actually improve their daily working life.

I like the idea that tenements should be encouraged to install downstairs boxes.
Just how you would "encourage" them is another matter.

in our office the stated times were 4 hours for main door walks and 3.30 for stair walks
this is all in inc large packet deliveries under park n loop
so 3 hour/3 hr 30 walks plus packets

well till last week when the whisper was it was going ot be 4 hours for everybody.....

its funny
a lot of the senior guys on cookie main door walks(and ive done them so know it)
are now saying they will jump on the 'easier' stair walks
I cant wait if they pick them
Ive seen the proposed stair walks and they are over 3.5 for the 3 hour duty spans!

Nice find clash...but if RM does not adhere to the document or documents that are given to them about sorting out a new revision within an office and decide to make every duty 4 hrs walking instead of 3.5 for some...then is this illigal?

I am afraid that the union know about this but will take a blind eye to this, and agree with everything that RM throws at them. Thats the impression i get.
