what are the rules regarding keeping seniority after leaving the company for a while then rejoining, I understand you keep leave entitlement

That's not quite true,if you had a good reason for leaving in the first place you can retain all of your seniorty,it happend to me.

A scenario i would like to raise on seniority. If another postperson is transfered to another delivery office on a conduct code issue do they carry their senioity with them ? Thus displacing people who have been at the same office for years without any conduct issue`s.
With the 2010 revision on the go with repicks this seems like a kick in the teeth for the postpersons in question.
Your Thoughts Please.

Yes...you keep your seniority whether it's a voluntary or compulsory transfer...and yes it is legal...is it fair?

When I was made redundant by Parcelforce my previous service whilst at Royal Mail was included in my pay-out. This was despite the fact that I had worked elsewhere in-between times.

i need some clarification on this i mentioned this to the dom yesterday and he just laughed , i joined in 1985 left in 1989 rejoined 1996 to present day that gives me 18 years service in total so i shouldve been on 5 weeks leave for 3 years meaning they owe me 4 and half days is that correct?
