Does anybody know exactly how much resign money part timers are supposed to get?

I heard its about £1000 in different installments. Is this correct? or will it be less?

what do you expect? you don`t do sorting! have a lie in every morning! take full timers rounds off them when they have worked for years! or are you part time because its not worth working full time because you claim working tax credits?

Red666bear - I think he's moaning at the fact that he IS working 40 hours, but still contracted to part time, therefore not getting the bonus. So how the hell is he not doing sorting, having a lie in, blah blah. Again divide and conquer and still people fall for it Just the same as they lose their overtime on holidays, even if they are in the habit of working 40 hours etc etc etc. These guys who make up their part time hours to 40 would probably prefer to work full time, it's Royal Mail that's to blame in this scenario, can't afford to knock back the overtime as part time wages are so cr4p so they are caught in a no win situation. Still beats me why people on here have to belittle part time workers. Especially those who are working overtime to give them a wee bit of extra dosh in their pockets for survival!

I agree part timers are treated maybes even worse than us fool timers . only thing that does pee me off and its not there fault is that theyve just walked in the door and have there own walks .ive bin in r mail for years still a floater ,still f,ed about ,oh and they will be rakin it in in xmas tips moan moan moan lol

Whats the difference between "sequenced revison" and "delivery methods revison". I ask as we are about to recieve sequenced mail but have not had to change our duties? Should we recieve the £600 (pro rata for P/T) and when does the 39hr kick in? Anyone?

Differences:

Walk Sequenced revision - this is a revision where the workplan and duties are changed to reflect the introdcution of Walk sequncing. So mainly indoor changes (£600 + £200 bonues)

Delivery Methods Revision: This is where the method of delivery is changed, ie CDVs introduced, golf trolleys, HCT etc. So maunly outdoor stuff.
(£200 bonus)

No you do not get a bonus for just getting the walk sequenced mail you only get that when there is a revision.

39 Hour kicks in on the walk sequencing revision.

Do there have to be changes in duties after a revision to get the bonuses ? What if the revision ( most likely only in a very small office ) comes to the conclusion that no changes are required. The revision has been done after all, even if no changes are made and everyone is in agreement.

Extremely unlikely that no changes would be made, as part of the sequencing revision is reduction to 39 hours.

But in that event local management and the union one would/should come to an agreement and the bonuses paid.

BTW small Offices not getting a walk sequencing revision get paid that revision/reduction in the working week at the same time as their parent unit.

Problem in my office is that we are 4 weeks away from recieving sequenced mail. No talk of any changes to the indoor work load. No change to start times. In fact no hint of a revison at all...................Except the delivery methods revison which is outdoor workload based, that is at phase 2-3 and has stalled pending god knows what. When ask about the bonus, DOM looked like a rabbit stuck in headlights then did an Elmer Thudd impression.

Redbear you are obviously a full timer who has little knowledge or respect of part timers and what they do in smaller rural offices. We do primary sorting, throw in all of our own rounds, expected to help throw in other rounds, do 16.66% of D2Ds, do 4 hour walks. I only work my part time hours, over a reduced week, and not in a situation where I need to claim Tax credits. However younger guys who are part time contracted, but do full time hours, do everything I have mentioned above over a full week and work bloody hard and have not taken over full time jobs. Are you saying that these guys do not deserve to be treated the same as full time counterparts and get the same bonuses, sickpay, holidaypay etc etc.

Utter bollox, been here 7 years and had to wait until my turn came to get a walk, then I got the one that nobody wanted reason being its the biggest, so the extra I gain by having my precious lie in and not doing IPS is lost by getting back over an hour and in one case 2 hours after full timers, so not only do I get paid 7 1/2 hours a week less I actually have the privilege of working more hours for it.
