We've been told that if we absorb all year round ( including xmas), then we'll get £200. Also, dom says if it takes us over our hours because of it, then just book it.

I would tell Dom to stick it. We dont do absorption and most of us at the office have no plans to do ot at xmas if d2ds are part of our day
