Management has to be changed - lino's that cant think on their feet, d.o.m's that make their own rules up, dsm's that talk b.s and just do what they are told knowing that itl f**k everything up, planners that are just time wasters the business dsent know what to do with. Really high up people who dont want the union involved in RM.

Like it or not 2010 is the new rulebook, i dont see any reps or posties deliberatley trying to f**k that up, all i see are managers of all ranks refusing to change. GET RID OF THESE HANGER ON ERS.

Definitely agree with the original post I believe most RM employees just want to come to work do an "Achievable" days work and get paid for it! This constant battle of Bullshit is just a wind up.

Actually, I might get thrown off Royal Mail Chat for writing this but some of the best bosses I've ever had were at the Royal Mail. And every one of the worst (insane, evil) were elsewhere. For me, in London, it's been 20% good/great, 70% competent, 10% in over their heads.

It's just that there's way too many of them. You don't need to pay some guy a managerial salary to direct someone to push a cart fifty yards from point A to point B, a job which they've been doing for the last billion years and really don't need help at.
