Isnt this a bitg of a joke as this is the heaviest time of the week and also its the most antisocial hours !

Why is everything so anti PT!

The reason the post office brought in part timers was to give full time postmen a five day week ,there was a cap in our office of 25 thats out the fcking window now

a possible option that may never happen in anyones DO?
there are multiple options and IMO very few would choose this option unless they were desperate to cut jobs!

yet again we see members here going for a FT/PT divide
who chose to bring in PT?
wasnt the FT staff

I think you will find my first post was a question
its you having a bottom lip moment
whats the point of 'discussing' (as you seem to think the opening statement pertains to) something thats up in the air and may never happen
people have far greater issues to look at
they should be questioning and examining every option available
eg getting 85% walk sequenced mail before any revision is actioned
not flapping about some random possibility

so that would make it a possibility then?
there are multiple options plus any other option the DO comes up with
so there are multiple options and possibilities in every DO
my own is facing a proposed mixture of start times and duty/delivery spans across multiple postcode areas
but it is way off and we are pushing fro a full resign(DOM wants a staggered approach to make it easier on them)
and the implementation of at least 85% sequenced before we even look at changing
every other DO should be doing similar measures

when i started custard ther were no part timers and i was on a 6 day week with no buff (O/T) then one of the many wonderfull deals the union done P/T were brought in to give us a five day week ,which sucked cause most guys worked the sat for buff but that let royal mail open the gates to PT the place and has led to the screw up now ,Put it like this what chance is there for any PT to be made up to full time i think our D,O made 2 up three years ago while getting rid of nearly 49 with evr`s and sackings

they will be made up if it suits RMs purposes
we actually had some made up in our last revision
then they were sent to other DO's as we didnt have enough positions

(yet we have 10 vacancies....)
no point crying about it now
the only way they would be made up now is if staff propose solutions that require more FT positions
given im still seeing plenty running about,skipping breaks,coming in early etc then thats unlikely
