Post by BettySwollocks »

Heya,

As daft a question as it sounds, i need to know the answer, :funneh
i work 4 x 10 hour shifts per week, if i wanted a week off work,
could i just book those 4 days off, or would i lose 5.

As far as I know, your holiday allowance is based on the number of days per week. If you are contracted for 4 days per week and you have 4 and a half weeks holiday, that would be 18 days, or 4 weeks and 2 days. One weeks holiday would be 4 days not 5 days, but would still be classed as 1 week. If you purchased extra days up to 6 weeks that would be 24 days.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I know someone who claims to save a lot of money on holidays by working nights. :Very Happy Hotel rooms are occupied and sold by the night, so he manages to get a good deal by booking them for the day,
and some hotels even cook him a proper English breakfast early evening. :Very Happy :nana :Very Happy
His only problem is trying to find a good pub that's open about 3am or 4am for lunch.
