Why is it that only delivery duties have to Lapse? Surely equality means that the collection duties should also be doing this brilliant concept by our glorious leaders

because a collection takes the same amount of time to do evey day as your boxes are timed yet the walk get no mail it is faster to do if a post box has no mail in it still have to go to it scan it and go to the next one at a set time so carnt get done early

It's not RM bright idea to do all of above, we think all of them up all by ourselves.

Lapsing seems to me to be a one way system.Our D.O. operates with 1 Dim and 3 linos but this week for example there were only two of them on 3 consequetive days.Lets say they are on an 8 hr day that means that they have 48 HOURS of work unfinished by the end of the week.Ironicaly they still finish on or before their times.Even with only two onboard the office runs as usual so hands up anyone who can spot potential savings lol

The point im making ,realitybites, is that these uncovered lino duties are over and above their allocated days off.Its the double standards that hurt like hell as we are constantly reminded that we have got to work our contracted hours via lapsing ,no probs there ,but i wish these hypocrites could maybe practice what they preach and lead by example for once-NO CHANCE , LAZY SHI-ITES.

The 12 0 Clock collection is not governed under the USO like later collection times are.

So technically the noon collection can be cancelled so the drivers lapse simples.

Same argument is about to take place in my D/O although through the summer months our drivers picked up all packets for the lapsed duties ,and walkmen only took mail and letter box sized packets .

Heard a whisper in my D/O that walkmen will be taking letters and packets regardless of the size .

You'll have to build a frame on your back to carry it all before long. If we can just start walking on four legs, we'll be the perfect beast of burden that RM want to create! Send it in to whatever her face is, see if she can set up some kind of breeding programme. A semi-human sub-species with a strengthened back for carrying a portable frame would be perfect for delivery. Ideally, they would have longer arms so they could simply reach up and get the next bundle. Toughened feet to protect them as they bound along, and stronger leg muscles to improve their speed and resistance to injury.

Managers and linos don't answer to anyone which seems a strange situation. They should introduce a clocking on and clocking off system, backed up with cctv, that would even things up a bit.
