10 hour days
Is there anyone on a 4 day week 10 hour days? If so what sort of workload are you expected to do in the 10 hours? Thanks.

well a London 10 hour day
so its probably a 5 hour working day with 5 hours added as London weighting

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Dim has asked if any1 wants to do 10 hr days but it is a walk and a half then 1 and half lapsing aswell!! I used to do a 9.5 hour day as part of my usual duty and that was a delivery (plus lapsing) parcels and a collection.
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?

On a 10 hr day you have roughly after you have taken a few bits into account 4+hrs of indoor work to cover if you have a 4 hr walk which is a walk and a quarter.
If you're a 5 day week rolling rest day then you will have groups of 6.
5 walks and one rest day cover(rdc)
So you would absorb 1 of those duties into the other 4 (4+hr ish walks)
You will still have 6 bods,4 duty holders and 2 rdc's.
Don't forget you will have less bods in the office so the IPS goes up,then you have part timers walks to prep so that takes time then you have to do your own prep again more time.
Some offices have some permanent mon/tue rest day duties so you absorb their IPS and prep on those light days,some offices have a mixture of 5 day weeks in so again you absorb some indoor work there.
Then there is the 'reasonable local earnings' package on SA which is part of P&M so that is walk only so you again absorb IPS and prep on them.
You lot seem to have a lot of part timers so you can absorb a lot of in door work there.
What will happen with these duties when the new revisions start is anybodys guess.
