This Is Your Revision

We have all the posters and propaganda up about this being 'Your Revision' but we don't seem to be having much of a say about anything in our office. Is there anything in print (either CWU or RM) that shows just what input we are to have and on which parts of the revision?

we have a revision team of 8 senior postmen, our revision is due to start 1st nov!!!!! They had one 5 minute meetin, no input, bugger all,and last week, the new duty deliveries went up on an a4 paper, you cant even see what streets your gonna be doing, waste o fookin time, and its a guaranteed shambles, 100%

Ours was meant to be done in December, then moved to January and now today its gonna be in March. Have noticed the DIMS are changing little things on duties and adding little things here and there. I reckon thats all that will happen as walk sequencing is being done on the present frames. We wont be getting a full revision but will be getting walk sequenced mail therefore NO BONUS is what i reckon will happen.

Last week we were told that we were still on step 1 of the revision process, this week we are now on step 6 apparently. Like my other colleagues we were told that we would be informed of what was going on every step of the way so we would be able to have our say. Just the usual old cr.p fed to us by RM and the CWU.

Well the revision at crewe is a joke, managers and union reps have no idea what there doing cos of no experince at this sort of thing.No jobs are up no times are up, nothing.Why dont thay ask the people who are going to do the dam jobs, whats best.

We had a revision meeting today with area rep with manager also and my point also was we should be involved more ,
our dim put out a few days ago we would be cutting 300 hours per week, aquates to 6 duties,
Today area rep says 200 hrs max and all P/T to be offered fulltime positions, del span around 4hrs -4.30, ours are not much off that now, Dom was quite quiet in all this,

I But it is to happen in the next month with geo route to be done next year happy days, I actually thought it was not too bad
considering what i have read on here , but with RM next week wil be different

Why and how are you cutting hrs without a geo revision? And why has the ADR accepted 200hrs?

In our area (Nottingham) we have a process whereby the Area Rep has spent time with an IWT champion in Birmingham, we had an IR meeting where the reps were genned up on the tool and the processes and every unit would not sign off any phase without Area rep.
Don't think any of our DO's are past phase 2.If its not agreed walk out the room
Whatever managers are pushing for they know its not achievable.
We did a resource meeting based on what the business was asking for in its business plan and out of a 35 staff office we would have 2 IP sorters.
If it weren't for losing the jobs or reducing contracts I'd sign off whatever they wanted, cut offs galore, high sick leave and backlogs of packets.

All set for a table top revision starting on March1st however 40 hr wk still stands is this right ? . A local office with a full revision doing 39 hrs are we not supposed to be the same ? Towns up to same length as Rurals and they are not happy,1 P/T round 650 calls in 6 hrs not much chance in my opinion what with prep as well and D2D's. Also no extra time for them apparently they are in the figures !!!

Postman thanks for the heads up, all I know is that the area itself is modelling itself on a del office nearby, thats eems to think that 200hrs is acceptable and the ADR is sayiong this is to be the model to go by across the anglia division we are in the SS area without giving too much away, now we done a manual count against the Mail centre figue's even though the figues came out widely different it seems that is what is going to happen , but I am keeping an eye and we have two managers who do up to 40hrs a week opg work and I even heard on saturday one of them saying that after being on the darkside she has to do opg work before she starts what is alledgly managers work

they want to make savings buy want to pay a manager to do our work at top rate

I am afraid the people in my offfice the reviosion goes over there heads , I put up letters from here on the board but they cannot be bothered to read it

My ADR is also anglia division and refused to accept MC figures, see if the ACF figures in the IWT guide in downloads on this site are higher than MC ACF figures, the IWT figures were higher than what my MC was producing and the switch has meant IWT ACF says 46 less hours savings needed which is the equivilent of a FT job being saved.

Every office is different at my D.O we can save 200 hours and recruit and push PT to FT all at the same time due to the high vacany level.
