ARRIVED AT THE OFFICE THIS MORN TO START THE PICKET AT 04-45AM SHORTLY FOLLOWED BY THE SCREW. WHEN HE WENT TO OPEN THE D. O. HE STARTED MUMBLING, WHATS WRONG I ASKED, SOME B*****D HAS PUT SUPER GLUE IN THE LOCK , OH DEAR I REPLIED, AND WENT BACK TO THE LINE. THE FIRST BIN ARRIVED & HAD TO RETURN TO THE MAIL CENTRE WITH OUR MAIL STILL ONBOARD, ABOUT 40 MINS LATER A SCAB ARRIVED AND PRODUCED AN AXILE GRINDER WHO THEN PROCEDDED TO CUT THE LOCK (HOW SAD } 15 MINS LATER THE FIRE BRIGADE ARRIVED BUT AS THE OFFICE WAS NOW OPEN THEY LEFT. THEN THE POLICE CAME ON THE SCENE AND AFTER LOOKING AT THE OFFENDING LOCK WENT INTO THE D O TO TAKE A STATEMENT OF THE SCREW. NO DOUGHT WE WILL BE HEARING MORE ABOUT THIS IN THE MORNING WHEN WE RETURN TO WORK. AHH WELL IT PASSED A FEW HOURS OFF IDLE PICKITING :funneh ONWARDS AND UPWARDS

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I'm sure bluetack would be quite effective in a lock and being non-permenant there isn't really any criminal damage, just an inconvenience ... which is kind of the purpose of a strike anyway.
