Purchased leave being stopped?

hi just a quick question i heard that our dom was thinking of stopping people purchasing extra leave (2 weeks) because we are that thin on the ground for staff and will have trouble covering leave next year with not enough staff to cover holiday leave slots allocated

1) can he do this?
20 if he cant what action should the staff take?

For full-timer,i think it's roughly about £9 per week,it doesn't actually show as a deduction on your payslip.
Well worth doing though.

First of all you can't buy 2 weeks as the minimum holiday allocation is 4 and a half weeks and the maximum is six.

Holiday entitlement
During the first five years, full time employees will be entitled to four and a half weeks’ paid holiday each year, on top of the eight Bank Holidays. They may also ‘purchase’ extra holiday to increase their entitlement up to the six-week maximum.

As far as working it out it's 1 weeks basic pay paid back over 52 weeks so it's *354/52....around £6.80 for a week or £10.20 to take you up to the 6 week max.
Then there is the delivery supplement reduction of 20.60/52 around 40p a week or 60p for the 6 week maximum.
