Phase 3 Delivery questions for doms and planners

What kind of questions should the rep be asking about phase 3 delivery plans with regard to new routes before being asked to sign anything thing off? Our dom is in a hurry to sign it off but is this wise with the 12 week revision (phase 5/6) taking place over the busiest time of year (christmas). It seems to me that this presents a whole range of problems doing it at this time of year.

I would say first things first.you really cant be trusting youre rep or reps,(which ever one is youre rep today)
Maybe you would be better taking the whole thing out of there hands as they have been proven to be untrust worthly once too often as the whole office is gradually finding out.
There is no way even any of them two can consider signing this off before christmas.
We will have the last vote ,unless its rigged of course.
The stuff that geo route is churning out is complete balls and i would be asking for the rep to test a few of them and show how they are possible in 4 hours 15!!

My revision (outdoor part) is desktop, so normal logical routes will be the order of the day.

Can u elaborate big Daz? Theres some 'routes' in our office that are 4 hrs 45. Is there an agreed timespan for the outdoor element? What about meal breaks? Toilet facilities on route#? Etc

trying to rush it in in our office but so far nothing said on the 1 in 4 saturdays off no help for those with childcare issues, no release for the rep and he will sign nothing if the staff dont like it, from what we know ours is going to the div rep, as per useual they are doing it as they see it.

And RM wonder why the revisions aren't going as quickly as they think they should..............makes you wonder if any of the management actually talk to each other

Lack of planners means IWT is being used by the DOM and the outdoor changes are being developed by human beings or to be more precise me.

There is no maxium/minium timespan for delivery but 2010 agreement has what I suppose one would call guidelines for spans.

Im looking at max 4 hour span for the urban deliveries and that would be more for 9 day fortnight duties than standard 5 day week duties.

Putting aside span there is a strong need to make delivery routes more logical or my D.O which the revision is a ideal veichle for the nesscary changes to bring logic to bear.

Phase 3 is where the planner should run your existing duties under Pegasus to check accuracy of the data. It is important that you challenge every error - best done by existing duty holder doing Sid n Sarah test - where the planner takes them through their delivery point by point. This checks that all delivery points are properly mapped, road network is correct paths, etc are noted.

The your members need to consider 1. required balance between full time n part time 2. length of delivery spans which will impact on 1. 1 in 4 Sats reqd. which will impact on 1. H&S reps should be involved in deciding delivery equipment suitable for routes - this may impact on spans. Other issues need to be addressed - resign, training, etc

Then your Unit decides on new duties under Phase 4 - Strongly reccomend these be tested prior to resign - Pegasus is only a guide and if it churns out duties that are un-doable you need to get these changed - at least as part of the Post Implementation Review.

IT WOULD BE LUNACY TO INTRODUCE ANY REVISION OVER XMAS PERIOD (sorry for shouting)
