Evening posties!

Turned up to work yesterday to see that ALL my packets had been taken out by one of the drivers! (Score!) . I've got a dreadful round in Dundee and predominantly deliver to students who order s**t online EVERY DAMN DAY (Nightmare). The round is infamous in my office you see, last postie who did it lost his job due to to some nonsense and not only that but its no where near a 3.5 hour delivery.

Annnnyway, they had one of the managers take the bags yesterday so the driver could focus on his packet backlog. So i'm coming to my last bag, time is already 2:10pm, I open up the box and low and behold! No bag! I give the office a quick bell and let them know about it and I get to go home ON TIME for a change.

Thing is that really gets on my nerves is that my delivery takes me over my time even when I have no packets! Not only this but there's boys on the same sector as me finishing at 12:30 on Tuesdays (Yes, you heard) and 1:30pm every other day and they never get asked to absorb.

Who else puts up with this s**t everyday? This review cant come fast enough if you ask me!

Welcome to the forum buddy

This sort of thing happens in most offices as not all the rounds are balanced. Ive seen a few revision over the years and they never seem to get it right

Woulda posted in the "introduce yourself" section but I didn't think anyone would notice.

I'm not sure what to think of this coming revision. All I know is that my office is well behind Van sharing sounds good to me though!
Still, for a walk like mine, surely it can only get better...right? Ha! This time last year I was working in Montrose doing the towns tracked's, special's and part of a rural. The tools RM supplied me with to get this done? A Ford Fiesta car with no back seats.

I think this coming revision is going to be cut throat with all the hours they want to cut. We are looking at 4hr 30mins rounds plus travel time. I cant wait

Me am on 5 hours a day and on up to a different walk every day they want lapsing every day and they deffo don,t want to pay overtime i start at 9.30am just about do it by 2.30pm i take 15 to 20 mins for me break its bollox no good this job.

Me too mate, I was spare until I got offered a set duty to do until the review. Shame it was the worst in the office! Breaks yer heart when you see the postie that lives on your round returning home a good 45 minutes before you!

There are a ton of downsides to it I guess, but I'm just looking forward to having the weight off my back and somebody to discuss the pretty student ladies with during tea-break in the van.

All offices have notorious walks if you are a floater you usually get put on them.
a good manager should take all factors into account.

Revisions?? Your having a laugh, nothing will change, they would only get worse. If any rounds did get better they would be taken from you by the longer serving staff on the seniorority picking, or the scum who are stuck up the bosses arse. Bit blunt I know but seen it before too many times.
