PLEASE READ THE CARD FIRST!!!!

i had a customer today charge out of his house just after I delivered his mail(which included a surcharge card), he had a right go at me " I was in you idiot!!!....dont you know how to use door bells or knock on doors!!??"

I politely told him (in the most condisending voice possible) " all the details are on the card on how to get your item, if you are unable to read I will kindley read it for you."

Happened to me the other day funny enough although he wasn't rude,said the same thing,read the card!

I've had a few people come after me with those large P739 like cards that BT was sending out a few months ago.
I pointed out that the card had 8.30am written on it so it couldn't possibly be from me!

They used to come into the RLE all the time with those BT ones AND ones from DHL ffs. Then they'd ask me "so how do I get my parcel?!" I'd say "read the card... all the instructions are on there".

There's a debt letter postcard one as well,'tried to deliver a parcel today please ring this number bollox'.

I put a card in once saying there was a parcel in this guys shed.He did'nt even read just headed up to the post office to pick it up.I would have loved to see his face when he realised what a numpty he was.

That happens all the time. Seriously, I wonder how the general public get out of the house without hurting themselves!!

When I worked in a call centre, some of the rubbish that came out of their mouths was unbelievable.

I asked one woman what her car registration number was... She asked where she would find that out? I told her that there's a white plate on the front of the car, and a yellow one on the back. The number of either off those would be fine.

One guy was spelling something to me. "K for car wash, Q for cucumber".

I worked in a call centre once, it sold Gardening stuff like compost bins. Some councils would offer subsidised bins at a cheap price or even free.

2 calls I really remember was one old man ringing up asking when we were going to pick up the dead cat on his drive. 10 minutes it took me to convince him we were not the council, but because he rang us to get his compost bin he would accept we weren't.

The other was a fairly regular one, people who had the bin for a year or so would ring us up asking when we were going to collect the compost.
