Hi.......I am a reserve and I have only had one saturday off this year! yay :dance
Reserves are the most valuble members in a delivery office and we get treated like poo

reserve or not, you are supposed to get 1 in 6 saturdays off, so see your union and DOM

ok this is wrong...you my friend are entilted to have a saturday off every 1 in 6 weeks no matter if your a reserve or not.

I am surprised you haven't spoke to your union rep about this...but if your happy not getting a saturday off once and a while then the choice is yours.

How many times.....

You should at least have a list/rota of reserves with what their days off have been lately then you can gauge who is next for a sat off,regardless of seniority.

Oh and if you cover 'Bob's' duty next week you have HIS day off not what management want you to have off re a tuesday.

Oh and get rid of your rep.

How many times should I tell my Line manager and DOM......they just tell me its not possible.

Postman, Is there any documents / agreements to show a manager to back this up, would be useful to have this in black & white . :Very Happy

Not just part-timers Red, plenty of Full time reserves get stitched up with Tuesdays aswell. Up until recently I had'nt had a Saturday off for over a year. I'm not one to shut up about these things but management/rep were'nt interested, theres only so much :arrrghhh you can do. I'm getting pissed off with the phrase 'Operational Needs', its gets thrown in your face all the time whether it is asking for a day off or light duties because of injury. They will constantly take the piss and HQ need to get it sorted!
