Just thought would ask a weird question

How many houses on peoples rounds???

Mine is 461 houses covering 16 roads and using only 2 pouch boxes(located in sh*t spots!)
and takes me between 3 1/2 hrs(mondays) and 4 1/2 hrs(fridays) to do

Was wondering how this shapes up to everyone else?

On rotation so it could range from 450 to 600.

This all depends on how much mail it gets, if the houses or flats are compact.

Every duty should be 3.5hrs long but aren't...after every revision all dutys that were either too long or short were meant to be tweaked but never happened, because the doms couldn't be arsed!

~500 residential, ~125 business. Its rare for me not to "win" the specials&recorded tally at callers office everyday, usually ~16 (but has been as many as 23) per day. All taken in trolley full to the hilt, only ever used bag drop three times since April (but I expect it will be used nearer Xmas).

Averages ~4.5 hours a day on road plus all my meal relief allowance, so Fridays are typically on the road for near 5.5 hours now... Should be funny near Xmas!

I'm not sure of the exact number as some of the addresses are defunct now (demolished, boarded up). I'd place an approximate of 580 at present, including a few businesses. The good thing is it doesn't get many specials or recordeds. The round I was on before this had a good hundred fewer houses, and though mail volume was usually slightly higher, I mastered that walk to the extent that I could have done it in under three hours pretty much every day if I'd wanted to.

About 440,rural area,houses all over the place! 2 businesses...and no pouch boxes!!! No drop points,so it means a trip on foot back to the centralish office three times daily (there's 30 mins before you start!) 3.5-5hrs depending on the day.

Most in our office are 600+. Quite a few over 800. Even one that comes in at just over 1000!! Thats not counting the lapsing added on. All this before p&l. God knows what it will be after.

571 = residential - mostly detatched and semi-detached - got 9 wee flats in there, total of 50 addresses

starburst/lapsing = 82 residential, 1 school, row of shops - 6 days a week, every f*ckin week - cept for 2 weeks at christmas last year

and yes, it takes me "over my contracted time"

every Sat by the shed full, dont even start me off on the kill=offs 100+ a day ffs but its a job eh!!!

Think its around 555 smallest has about 330. Mine can take anywhere between 2.30 on a easy day or sat and up to 3.30 on a busy one but rarely longer than that, although i do think i walk faster than the average person!

I get loads of kill-offs. Addresses that don't exist. All the generic crap that comes through seems to think that one of my streets goes up to 199 when it only goes to 99, that's 50 kill-offs a time for each generic thing whether it be from virgin (like today) or some bugger else.

941 houses all private 6 pouch bags and a mile and a half from the office to the 1st letter drop taking 35 minutes to push that stupid trolley to my start and 20 minutes dead walk back when i finish and the wife wonders why am fit for nothing in the evening

415 on mine takes between 2.5 and 3 hrs fully expecting them to collapse a delivery in my sub office soon so will probably end up with another 80 on top
