Quiet Tuesdays Stuffed on Wednesday

When is this USELESS feckin company going to schedule the mail better. Why are we continually getting no mail on Tuesday then getting stuffed on Wednesday?????????????? After all it's mostly mail sort shyte surly it could be planned better over the week. For f#ck sake Royal Mail it's not rocket science and if you as a company don't know how to do it then employ some one who does.................................like me (hacked of postie)

Chances of a busy Wednesday? in exchange for a quiet Tuesday i'd prefare to keep it as it is. Or swap mail volumes of Tuesday for a Saturday and have Sat as the quietest working day.

What's a quiet Tuesday? In my office that's one of the Spanish Practices they abolished. Every day is bad, some more than others.

I think its because alot of duties are tues-sat.That means no one sorts all day monday hence a quiet tuesday.

All MS2 and MS3 is only processed on the early shift.As all early duties at my,and prob most MC's are tues-sat,there is very little,or usually no mailsort from the RDC's on a monday,hence you get bugger all to deliver on a tuesday!Hope this helps....

Mailsort is done on nights at my MC (earlies took on all the 2C prep - once the sorting into sleeves comes in, there probably won't be any 2C prep anyway), there is no such thing as a quiet night in MCs anymore.

ALL MS2 and MS3 packets,flats and mech is meant to be cleared by the earlyshift.As all MS3 is usually due for delivery 2 days after it arrives(del wed on a mon,del thu on a tue,etc),if early shift leaves any MS3 then lates and nights won'touch it,and we have to finish it off the following morning!Lates and nights have their hands full clearing the DSA and 1c Intra......

I get every Tuesday off now. Manager just gives me every Tuesday and to be honest I don't complain because they don't pay overtime, quipping back with the infamous line "what time did you finish on Tuesday? you're due us at least half an hour"

Last week my walk I covered had 3 very easy days and 3 crazy heavy days (Wed-Fri) I wish it is balanced out better. It is not on.

Tend to agree, though it's the packets that annoy me most. Next to none on Monday, loads on Tuesday, next to none on Wednesday, loads Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

It's hard to get two packet bags' worth into your bags, no matter how many bags you do your walk in.
