think ive just picked up tonsilitis
was feeling real bad yesterday in work, today was my day off still feel bad.
how many days are u allowed off sick?
i hate calling in sick, makes me feel bad, just dont wanna get in trouble for it lol i havnt had a sick day off in over a yr.

Tonsilitis is contagious so if you suspect you have it don't go to work.
You are allowed 14 days or 4 absences in one year before triggering a stage 1 warning.

You need to see a Doctor first to determine whether you have tonsillitis and whether it's bacterial or viral.
If it's bacterial you may need antibiotics....and of course you shouldn't go to work...if your body becomes tired and run down you will not be able to fight the infection effectively and risk prolonging your illness....for what? Royal Mail...trust me they don't give a s**t about you.

Viral or bacterial - it is still contagious. Until you are sure what it is or isn't stay out of the DO.

14 days?? Think you'll find they changed that to 12 days some time ago.

I thought you was allowed 13 days or 3 absences ....the 4th or 14th day made you go over ??

You have the plague. You must go in to work as new RM rules state unless you are dead and have a certificate to prove it you must work.... but ask your lino for a bell so you can warn people to get out of your way!
