Parcelforce Worldwide and CWU Joint Statement Regarding the Reward Package Negotiations
Further to our recent Joint Statement regarding these discussions we are pleased to announce that a negotiators agreement has been reached.
Despite the difficult circumstances surrounding these talks we were determined to resolve this issue through dialog and the strength of our relationship and we are delighted that our faith in that approach has produced a potential solution without causing any disruption to you, our customers or our business.
You may recall that we invited the assistance of ACAS to ensure we remained at all times focused on our mutual interests and we thank them for the part they have played.
Against that backdrop the negotiators agreement will now be placed before the CWU Executive for endorsement and recommendation early next week. If the negotiators agreement is endorsed it will then be placed before you for your consideration in the form of an individual ballot.
Both parties are convinced that we have now designed a settlement that rewards past and future performance, responds to the commercial environment and positions Parcelforce Worldwide for the next phase of its successful evolution.
Further and more detailed information will be released next week and we thank you for your continued patience in this regard.
