Low mail volumes

Although in the MK Post codes we gave had our fair share of catolouges overall volumes are well below normal for time of year.
Some Rumours suggest new mail center at 15A M1 has problems ,any one know anything?

We had our lightest day in weeks today, and predictably, the union chose today to count mail at the IPS frame, while management also wanted our bags weighed and logged. Co-incidence? I think not.

Apparently they want to take a broad sample across different days to try and get a true representation of traffic at the moment. This is the first time they have counted in months, however, and the fact that today was incredibly light makes me think that there's something fishy going on.

Did they count the d2d items i preped 1200 today thats a 1/4 of my weekly total , thats about 8 tray of letters.

I think her majesty has disowned the mail these days, you never see her portrait in the top right hand corner anymore.

Why a 1/4??? the minimum it should be is 1/5 (and that only with the offices' agreement). It should be Monday to Saturday and each day should have the amount to be delivered on that particular day.

If its MON to SAT then it should be 1/6 should it not? Well by that i mean that the floater should deliver 1/6 and the regular deliver 5/6? If thats the case im getting shafted as im delivering 1/5 of everyones run as im a floater!

Our office preps d2d mon to thur 1 row per day aprox 1/4. The rotating floater gets lucky fri and sat.
