National Boycott or Not

Quite simple this one chaps due to the amount of people who are on fixed tern contracts losing there jobs over the next couple of months.

If you were head of the CWU would you Boycott the agreement until the matter is sorted.

Tough one innit. ...Obviously HQ knew this was coming...they just hoped we wouldn't make too much of a fuss about a few part-time temps.

Moya Greene is bad news for us all shes hear to do one thing and that is privatise us like she did with the Canadian post.

Of course H/Q new about the fixed term contracts being let go once the deal was in .

They had to ,this is the reason they haven't pulled out of this agreement or balloted us for I/A.

She's the top paid civil servant on £500,000 basic per year. Who Knows what bonuses, shares, etc she is getting on top of that.

Doesn't matter how fast you shift a bit of paper, it won't go fast enough to rescue you from the pie man. Might as well piss in the wind than waste energy on an LTB.

We had a wtll recently and were categorically told that the law will only recognise you as permanent after 4 years and that's what RM are going by even though the agreement we have says 2. The way this whole situation has been handled is disgraceful. As someone above has already stated, what's the point in having agreements if they can just pick and choose witch ones they want to abide by?

They are quick enough to come at us with all the bits about flexibility. Is this really what the new working relationship is all about?

I know of 3 offices in my region that have lodged disagreement and bumped it up to area. Nothing much has happened yet though and sadly i wont be holding my breath till it does.
