Is your office as bad as mine?

We have just lost our 4th manager in 8 months,latest one acting,couldn"t stick pressure,gone back to deliveries !.Everybody in office totally cheesed off,except for the part timers who want more hours,flying around like idiots to impress management !.We are halfway through geo route changes,walks gone from 500 to 800 calls and we can"t even cope now !.Rurals been totally changed,one village added onto another one !.Our most longest serving postie (40 years service ) been taken off his job because he cracked an indicator light,backing into a fence in a farm yard on a wet shitty day !.Area manager said take him off and teach him a lesson !.Its true what people say ,They"re pissing us off so they don"t have to pay us off !.Your thoughts please !.

lets piss them off work to rule bring it back i was asked to do some aborbing the other day i refused told the gov i had enough to keep me out until my time his reply it will only take you half hour i told him you do it if only takes half hour and walked out idiots place run by morons

Quite right. If everyone stopped doing any docket for two weeks, the company would crack. No-one can cope at my office. Idiots on the tv - with the union agreeing - that the mail is easing off, complete rubbish. Everybody knows we are taking out more and more.

why is it when people write a thread they nearly always slip in a shi*ty remark about p/t staff? no mention of f/t idiots, no mention of union idiots and no mention of management idiots, can we try and have one without the p/t bashing please

I agree ,i am a sat staff and receive total and utter crap from collegues been there abt 2 1/2 years now FT staff have always got something to say to us sat staff we are not allowed to complain if our trolley weighs over 105 and on top of that we have drop bags we get told thats not heavy , when all they have is 2 packets on their frame i have a great deal of respect for them as they are doing the job 5-6 days a week, why can't we get the same respect back.

Im a PHG/pt....i was ft except for my transfer which robbed me of 10 hrs. Everyday i see part timers come in and have to set in thier own walk (which they should not have to) and fly back out (late) to thier walk. They dont get time to communicate with the rest of the office, enjoy the banter , give a bit back. All they get is abuse from full time members having a gripe. 9/10 times, these full timers are usually the laziest in the office. Served about 7 to 13 years and think they are owed everything. Im not having a moan, just asking to give consideration to people who are 30hrs or less, they are working thier balls off doing a 40hr delivery too.........................and any knob who makes a sarcastic comment to this, fits into that bracket.

As a full timer (20+years), its the full timer tear ups that have got us into this mess, a part timer on a rolling contract isn't going to do the job properly when there's the majority of full timers on easier walks ripping the guts out of the job to make 5 minutes

how can you say that part timers are rushing round like idiots to impress management , you are so wrong its untrue !! coming in everyday ! to my mail not being thrown in even tho it should be d2ds not even attempted , which automatically sets me back time which i havent got , and the full timers have got the cheek to look at you like your an idiot for rushing or taking overtime to make up the meagre wage we recieve , lets see a full timer swap contracts with me and then take there time see if they make a living , i guarantee they will be rushing around like idiots within a week !!!!

We have a PTer at our place who used to do a walk which began right outside the office. 8.40 every day he was on his toes, whether all his colleagues were all thrown in or not, he would just go.

Today, he's on a different round, and was struggling like hell to get thrown in, and despite repeated calls from the management to help him, no one bothered, what goes around comes around.

Thats such a heart warming little story.Sounds like the typically F/T F**k the P/T''s that happens so frequently ( by the number of posts ) in the job. If it comes to industrial action I'm sure he'll heed your calls for solidarity. Is it any wonder the P/T's wonder if they shouldn't have they're own union representation when they're treated like that by F/T's. I don't suppose it crossed your mind that he wanted to finish early forhis own personal reasons such as childcare or having to do as second job.

I just don't get my office,about 21 jobs cut last year everyday over 450 boxes of mail left in the building.Also a lot more part time staff.Now they want another 37 jobs cut,say the union agree to 20 job cuts madness.Is this all about manager bonus?,it does not matter about mail getting delieved.

I agree that they are just trying to make the job so s**t for us that we'll leave rather then them having to get rid of us. They somehow manage to make morale so low and even have us arguing amongst ourselves at each other, just reading this thread points that out, how we have a go at full-timers and part-timers when were all meant to do the same job. In our office it brings you down to acting like a kid in the playgound with all the tit for tat and back stabbing that goes on. I admit I'm one of them who ends up arguing with others, and when I think about it sometimes later I just think why? Its RM who have us all wound up and pissed off with their working methods that just brings us all down.
