Parcelforce Pay Negotiations
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Parcelforce Pay Negotiations
i have noticed that parcel force are now advertising for autumn pressure postions, and that the advertised starting salary is 16,100, £600 more than it should be for warehouse sorters ( previosly 15,995) and an increase for drivers from 15,995 -17,300 , maybe this is part of the pay deal as it would be around 3% on top of the previous sorters starting salary, but since when has there been a differenc in basic salary between indoor staff and drivers?

Re: Parcelforce Pay Negotiations
I don't know about Union Rep's reactions. But I'd say it's proof that they're having trouble recruiting people to do that work, for the wages they're prepared to pay permanent staff.

Re: Parcelforce Pay Negotiations
apparently what was offered was refused by the union as there were as usual to many strings attached
as usual
the negotiations will start again during atumn with a possibility of a ballot taking place !!!!
if no agreement is made.
Basically we were offered nothing but with strings attached to it (as usual)

One if the depot managers who works Sunday told one of my colleagues the pay negotiations were nearly done and we would be sorted either this month or next.

Re: Parcelforce Pay Negotiations
the depot managers have been known to be wrong on most occasions.
they are trying to keep everyone happy at the moment especially with the forcasts for the xmas rush now in,and the threat of a ballott taking place, for industrial action.
i now only believe what the union tell me.
