Eight years ive worked at Royal Mail as an OPG

Never have I seen it so bad

Guys running about to get the job done, constantly pushed to do more and more and more

Absorbtion, even when you dont have time- pushed on us

D2D now for free, 4-5 a week

Mail's down they say. My arse

Morale is at an all time low

The company is in the s**t

Too many managers and hanger ons.

Today, I delivered to a lady at 1010am. " Any reason why your getting later she said, have you changed the way you do your delivery"

I bit my lip but wanted to tell her to f**k off.

I always say to such people "Would you rather be at the end of the delivery at 2.15/3.15 pm (insert expected time of finishing)? Usually shuts them up. Hope you feel cheerier soon and can enjoy the remains of the weekend.

i always say i will be 40 mins later as i could always take my meal relief before i start your road rather than after, or if i have taken it say i would have been here earlier if i worked rather than had a break

I just tell them that its RM's decision to make people wait later and later for their mail and also tell them it will get worse in the future

Some offices have gone beyond 5 already BELIAL.
At the moment they are holding firm and pushing the extra into the following week but it is taking intervention from above to hold management to the guidelines.

You mean that management are not keeping their word Where is our lord protector Brendan Barber in all this, were we not promised his steadfast scrutiny and unwavering enforcement?
